“Forever in the Twilight”
In a quiet town where the rain falls slow
Read the lyrics
In a quiet town where the rain falls slow
A girl walked in where the cold winds blow
Golden eyes in the shadowed light
A love that lives between day and night
He said forever, she said don't go
Under the clouds where the pale moon glows
Two hearts caught in a timeless fight
Human soul and vampire night
Oh twilight hearts beating in the dark
Like a flame, like a spark
Through the storms and endless night
Love will shine in twilight light
Wolves are calling through the trees
Ancient powers in the breeze
Enemies waiting in velvet halls
Where the silent Volturi calls
But every battle and every scar
Led them back to who they are
A love that time could never erase
Written forever in twilight's embrace
Oh twilight hearts beating in the dark
Like a flame, like a spark
Through the storms and endless night
Love will shine in twilight light
And even when the years go by
Their story lives beneath the sky
From Forks to eternity's view
A forever kind of love so true

Twilight premiered on November 21, 2008 and opened to $69.6 million in the US — at the time the biggest opening ever for a film directed by a woman.
Stephenie Meyer wrote the novel after a dream she had on June 2, 2003 — the meadow scene between Bella and Edward.
The five films (2008–2012) earned more than $3.3 billion worldwide.
Forks is a real town in Washington state — but most of the first film was shot in Oregon.
Kristen Stewart was 17 when the first film was shot; Robert Pattinson auditioned in director Catherine Hardwicke's own house.
Taylor Lautner gained about 30 pounds of muscle to keep the role of Jacob in New Moon.
New Moon set a midnight-screening record in 2009 — and started the Team Edward vs Team Jacob era.
Paramore's "Decode" was written for the first film; Robert Pattinson sings two songs on the soundtrack.
Breaking Dawn was split into two films, released in 2011 and 2012.
The final film's big battle was invented for the movie — it never happens in the book.
Robert Pattinson became Batman in The Batman (2022); Kristen Stewart earned an Oscar nomination for Spencer.
Taylor Lautner married Taylor Dome in 2022 — yes, she is now also Taylor Lautner.
