“Basement Disco Dreams”
Ooh, take me back, take me back now
Read the lyrics
Ooh, take me back, take me back now
Spinning vinyl, we don't know how
The years go by but the feeling stays
Orange couch and the smoke clears slow
Bell bottoms swaying to the radio
Muscle cars line up down the street
Summer nights and a borrowed beat
We were kids with the whole world spinning
Didn't know that this was just the beginning
Basement disco dreams, we never let 'em go
Dancing through the static of a fuzzy old radio
Friends forever, no matter where we roam
Basement disco dreams, feels just like home
Drive-in lights and a Friday chase
Mixtapes made with a smile on your face
Growing up but we stayed the same
Chasing gold in a groovy little flame
We were kids with the whole world spinning
Didn't know that this was just the beginning
Basement disco dreams, we never let 'em go
Dancing through the static of a fuzzy old radio
Friends forever, no matter where we roam
Basement disco dreams, feels just like home
Time keeps turning, but the record spins
Right back to where the story begins
Every face a memory, every song a friend
We're still dancing, world without end
Basement disco dreams, we never let 'em go
Dancing through the static of a fuzzy old radio
Friends forever, no matter where we roam
Basement disco dreams, feels just like home
Ooh, basement disco dreams...
Take me back, take me home
