The Princess Diaries Cast: Then and Now

Frizzy hair, invisible in the hallway
Never thought a crown could find its way
Then the world went quiet, said my name out loud
Genovia calling through the clouds

From the back row to the balcony
Nobody saw who I could be

But I got my fairytale anyway
Tiara crooked, still I run this day
Cobblestone streets and a silver car
Turns out ordinary girls go far
Not every story starts this way
But I got my fairytale anyway

Best friend waving from a rooftop stage
Mirror ball spinning, turning the page
They said be royal, I said watch me try
Awkward and glowing under palace sky

From the back row to the balcony
Nobody saw who I could be

But I got my fairytale anyway
Tiara crooked, still I run this day
Cobblestone streets and a silver car
Turns out ordinary girls go far
Not every story starts this way
But I got my fairytale anyway

Every girl's got a kingdom hiding inside
Doesn't matter how you look, just how you rise
So here's to the misfits, the loud and the shy
We all get our moment under Genovia sky

But I got my fairytale anyway
Tiara crooked, still I run this day
Cobblestone streets and a silver car
Turns out ordinary girls go far
Not every story starts this way
But I got my fairytale anyway

Fairytale anyway... anyway... anyway...
