Supernatural premiered on The WB on September 13, 2005 and ran for 15 seasons, ending on The CW in November 2020.
With 327 episodes it is the longest-running American live-action fantasy series ever made.
Creator Eric Kripke originally planned the story for five seasons. The show ran for ten more.
The show was filmed almost entirely in and around Vancouver, Canada, standing in for small-town America.
Dean's black 1967 Chevrolet Impala, nicknamed "Baby", got its own episode in 2015, told entirely from inside the car.

Misha Collins' Castiel was written for only a few episodes in season 4. He stayed for twelve seasons.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, John Winchester, later became Negan in The Walking Dead.
A prequel, The Winchesters (2022–2023), followed young John and Mary, with Jensen Ackles narrating as Dean.
